Following disorder in Edinburgh during Bonfire Night, four more individuals have been arrested. The incidents that occurred on Calder Road involved fireworks and projectiles being thrown at the public, police officers, and buses. An investigation was launched the following day, leading to three additional people being charged in connection with the disturbances.

A 16-year-old male was charged on November 12, while two 17-year-old males were charged on November 13. All three are set to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on December 3. In addition, a 15-year-old male was arrested on November 13 for incidents on Captain’s Road, where projectiles were thrown at Public Order Officers. He will appear in court at a later date.

With these recent arrests, the total number of individuals charged with offences related to the Halloween and Bonfire Night incidents now stands at 13. Furthermore, five homes have been searched, and two vehicles have been seized as part of the police operation. Chief Superintendent David Robertson, Divisional Commander for Edinburgh, emphasized the commitment to bringing all those responsible for the crimes to justice.

As the investigation continues, more arrests are expected. The police have gathered CCTV footage and other evidence from Halloween and Bonfire Night, which they believe will help identify and charge more offenders in the future.
