2025 Scottish Golf Awards: Finalists Announced

The prestigious 2025 Scottish Golf Awards have announced their finalists, including PGA Tour champion Bob MacIntyre, Mearns Castle Golf Club, Golf It’s Alyson McKechin, and Scottish Women’s Amateur champion Lorna McClymont. The awards, last held in 2017, have been brought back by national governing body Scottish Golf in partnership with Limitless DMC/21CC Group. Winners will be revealed in a ceremony at the Voco Grand Central in Glasgow.

Excitement Builds for Awards Night

Nominations for six of the 11 awards were submitted by the public, with an independent panel of judges compiling the shortlist. Finalists in the categories involving the country’s top amateur and professional players were selected by a judging panel led by Scottish Golf’s performance department. Scottish Golf chief executive Robbie Clyde expressed his delight at the exceptional standard of entries and the recognition of outstanding players, coaches, clubs, volunteers, and officials in the golfing community.

Meet the Finalists

The nominees include top contenders such as Club of the Year finalists Castle Douglas Golf Club, Mearns Castle Golf Club, and Prestonfield Golf Club. Coach of the Year features Alyson McKechin from Golf It, Mike McNally from Swanston Golf Club, and Ian Muir from the University of St Andrews. Female Amateur Golfer of the Year showcases talents like Hannah Darling from Broomieknowe, Abigail May from St Andrews, and Lorna McClymont from Milngavie. Female Professional of the Year presents Gemma Dryburgh, Heather MacRae, and Hannah McCook as the leading candidates.
