A new dive bar and grassroots music venue is getting ready to open its doors in Glasgow city center. The Lazurri Group, known for other popular city venues, is behind this exciting new venture called Lucky Strike. Located at the Mitchell Street unit previously occupied by August House, Lucky Strike aims to bring the vibe of American-style rock and indie dive bars to Glasgow.
Executive chef Stevie Holt is leading the culinary team at Lucky Strike, offering a menu that promises to transport diners to the streets of New York City. Expect delicious smash burgers, loaded fries, and classic hot dogs to satisfy your cravings. The bar will also feature up to 12 beer taps and a cocktail list with favorites available starting at £7.
Live music will be a big part of the Lucky Strike experience, with local bands taking the stage every weekend in the event space downstairs. This provides an opportunity for Glasgow’s talented musicians to showcase their skills and entertain the crowd. Additionally, the venue will display ‘Sirens’, a captivating piece of art by street artist Conzo featuring mermaid artwork in acrylic and gouache.
Euan Barker, the general manager at Lucky Strike, expressed his excitement about the new venture, highlighting his passion for the Glasgow music scene. With his background in running popular venues like TABAC and The Palais, Barker is confident that Lucky Strike will offer a unique blend of good food, drinks, and live entertainment in a dive bar setting.
The combination of beer, bourbon, American diner food, and live music is seen as a winning formula for success in Glasgow’s vibrant music scene. Barker is thrilled at the prospect of contributing to the local music landscape and creating memorable experiences for patrons at Lucky Strike.
