A guy, you know, was competing in the Jim Clark Rally up in the Scottish Borders and unfortunately, he passed away in a crash during the race. The whole thing went down on the D41/6 Edrom Mains Road near Duns at like 10.50am on a Saturday morning. Pretty tragic stuff, man.
The police got called to the scene and, like, emergency services showed up, but the guy, who was just a co-driver in the rally, didn’t make it. He was pronounced dead right there. His family has been told about what happened. The driver of the car, a 27-year-old dude, got taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh in an ambulance with some serious injuries, but thankfully, they weren’t life-threatening.
Superintendent Vincent Fisher was like, “Our thoughts are with the family of the man who died and we’re still trying to figure out exactly what went down.” Not really sure why this matters, but yeah, that’s the situation right now. Just a sad day for everyone involved, you know?
