It’s been two weeks since Cole Cooper went missing, and his mom is reaching out for help to find him. The 19-year-old was last seen at 7.30pm on the A803 near Cumbernauld Road in Longcroft on May 7. He was officially reported missing a couple of days later, but CCTV footage from May 4 showed him in the Longcroft area around 6am.
Dedicated officers have been tirelessly searching for Cole, reviewing CCTV footage, knocking on doors, and talking to witnesses in hopes of locating him. Special units, including the police helicopter and drones, have been deployed to assist in the search efforts in the Banknock area. Despite all these efforts, Cole’s whereabouts remain unknown, leaving his mom, Wendy, feeling “numb.”
Wendy is appealing to the public for any information that could help bring her son back home safely. She expresses her broken heart and the overwhelming desire to have her “gorgeous, fun loving boy” back with her. She thanks the local community and everyone involved in the search for Cole so far, urging anyone with information to contact the police. Cole’s mom’s message to him is simple: “If you see this, please get in touch. We just want to know you’re safe.”
Inspector Neil Wotherspoon emphasizes the urgency of the situation, noting that it’s unlike Cole to be out of touch with his loved ones for this long. He urges anyone who may have seen Cole or someone matching his description to report any sightings. Cole is described as being around 5ft 10ins, of medium build with brown short hair, and was last seen wearing a black puffer-style jacket with black jogging bottoms. He has connections to the Denny, Cumbernauld, and Paisley areas.
The search for Cole continues, with authorities and the community coming together to bring him back home.
