Oasis fans in the UK and Ireland are eagerly anticipating the upcoming general sale of tickets for the band’s highly anticipated reunion concerts. After missing out on pre-sale tickets, many fans are ready to try their luck at securing a spot at one of the band’s shows.

The excitement surrounding the reunion concerts has been somewhat dampened by the appearance of tickets on unofficial reselling websites at exorbitant prices. In response to this, the band issued a warning to fans, stating that tickets can only be resold at face value through authorized platforms such as Ticketmaster and Twickets. Any tickets sold in violation of these terms and conditions will be canceled by the promoters.

Officially, tickets for the reunion concerts are being sold through Ticketmaster, GigsAndTours, and See Tickets. However, tickets have also appeared on ticket exchange and reselling websites for prices reaching thousands of pounds. For example, tickets for the Wembley Stadium show were listed on Viagogo for up to £5,909, while tickets for the London venue under the “Hospitality Club” category were being sold for £10,578 on StubHub.

Despite the high prices being asked for these tickets, some reselling websites offer assurances to buyers. StubHub, for instance, provides a “FanProtect 100% guarantee” for secure purchasing. However, consumer law experts caution against buying tickets from these reselling websites at inflated prices, as there is a risk of scams or the tickets being invalidated if sold outside of official channels.

The general sale for Oasis’ 15 UK shows in London, Manchester, Edinburgh, and Cardiff is set to begin at 9 am on Saturday, with the sale for their two Dublin gigs launching at 8 am. The band has advised fans to be prepared and logged into the relevant ticketing agencies ahead of the general sale to increase their chances of securing tickets.

Earlier in the week, the band had to reassure fans that confirmation emails would be sent to those who entered the pre-sale ballot, as they received an overwhelming volume of interest. To enter the ballot, fans had to correctly identify the band’s original drummer as Tony McCarroll and provide information on how many times they had seen the band perform.

Ticket prices for the reunion concerts vary depending on the venue and seating options. For the Wembley Stadium show, prices start at £74.25 for a seat, with the most expensive ticket being a £506.25 pre-show party, exhibition, and seated package. In comparison, the cheapest seats for the Cardiff and Edinburgh shows are priced at £73 and £74 respectively.

Standing tickets at Wembley are priced at £151.25, slightly more expensive than the standing tickets in Cardiff and Edinburgh, which cost £150 and £151 respectively. In Manchester, tickets start at £148.50, with only standing options available alongside various hospitality and luxury packages.

For the two Croke Park gigs in Dublin, tickets are priced starting at 86.50 euros (£72.75) without booking fees, according to Irish promoter MCD. Fans have been eagerly awaiting the reunion of Liam and Noel Gallagher, who announced the band’s reunion after 15 years of being disbanded.

The long-awaited reunion was confirmed by the brothers, who put their differences aside and stated, “The great wait is over.” Since their split in 2009, fans have been clamoring for the band to reunite, with the brothers exchanging negative comments about each other for over a decade.

In addition to the reunion concerts, Oasis also released a 30th-anniversary edition of their debut album “Definitely Maybe.” The new edition features outtakes, demos, and alternate versions of songs recorded at the time, as well as a remastered version of the original LP. The release is available in various formats, including a four-LP vinyl box set, a two-CD set, colored vinyl, cassette, and digitally.

As the general sale for tickets approaches, fans are advised to be cautious when purchasing tickets from reselling websites and to ensure they are buying from authorized platforms at face value. The band’s reunion concerts promise to be a memorable experience for fans who have been eagerly awaiting this moment for years.
