Scotland’s only five-star floating hotel, Fingal, is set to bring some festive cheer to its afternoon tea experience this holiday season. Located in Edinburgh’s historic Port of Leith, the luxury hotel will be offering guests and non-residents a decadent British tradition with a nautical twist from November 20 to January 4.
The Festive Afternoon Tea at Fingal will consist of five courses served in the ship’s Lighthouse Restaurant and Bar from 12pm to 3.30pm. Guests will have the option to upgrade their experience with a Champagne Afternoon Tea for an extra special touch.
The menu will feature savory delights such as Loch Linnhe salmon rillette, Kintyre blue cheese and fig tart, and Lochaber free-range turkey brioche bun. For those with a sweet tooth, there will be treats like Matcha cake, gingerbread house, pear with chocolate financier, and coconut macaron with salted caramel.
The Festive Afternoon Tea experience is priced at £70 per person, with the option to add Champagne for £85 per person. In addition to Afternoon Tea, Fingal’s Lighthouse Restaurant and Bar is open to non-residents for dinner and cocktails, offering private dining booths for small groups.
Originally a Northern Lighthouse Board tender, Fingal was transformed into a luxury hotel in 2019 by The Royal Yacht Britannia team. The ship’s 22 cabins are named after Stevenson lighthouses, paying homage to its maritime heritage.
Whether you’re looking to indulge in a festive afternoon treat or enjoy a cozy dinner with a view, Fingal’s unique setting and luxurious offerings are sure to make your holiday season special. To learn more about Fingal and make a reservation, visit www.fingal.co.uk.
