A bit of drama went down before the match, though. Seems like some fans from Ayr United and Partick Thistle got into it, resulting in a police officer getting hurt. Like, that’s not cool, guys. The cops are asking for info on what went down on River Street in Ayr, where a big group of people were causing chaos. Eventually, the group scattered, but not before the officer got minor injuries. Chief Inspector Stuart Dougan was all like, “We ain’t about that disorder life,” and assured everyone that they’re investigating the situation. Despite the pre-game shenanigans, Partick ended up winning 2-0, giving them a lead of 2-1 over both legs of the playoff. They’re now gearing up to face Livingston in the semi-final.
