A man who tragically lost his life in a flat explosion in Alloa has now been identified by the police. The victim, 50-year-old Graham Green, was in the flat on Kellie Place when the explosion occurred last week. The incident took place on Sunday, October 6, and emergency services rushed to the scene at around 6pm.

The explosion was so powerful that it caused part of the roof to be ripped off the building and left a large hole in the first floor. Three other individuals were injured in the blast – a 72-year-old man, a 19-year-old man, and a 49-year-old woman. They were all taken to Forth Valley Hospital for treatment.

While Mr. Green has been identified as the deceased, formal identification is still pending. Chief Inspector Kat Thompson expressed condolences to the family and friends of the victim and all those affected by the tragedy. The investigation into the incident is ongoing to determine the exact circumstances that led to the explosion.

Initially, there were speculations that gas might have been the cause of the explosion. However, it has been confirmed by the gas distribution company SGN that their network was not responsible for the incident. The authorities, including Police Scotland and the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), are working together to uncover the root cause of the explosion.

The community in Alloa has shown understanding and support during this difficult time, and the police have expressed gratitude for their cooperation. The death of Mr. Green is currently being treated as unexplained, and efforts to determine what led to the tragic event are ongoing.

As investigations continue, it is essential for the authorities to thoroughly examine all possible factors that could have contributed to the explosion. The safety of residents in the area should be a top priority, and measures must be taken to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future. The impact of such a tragedy on the community cannot be understated, and it is crucial for all parties involved to work together to ensure that justice is served and the necessary precautions are taken to safeguard the well-being of the residents.
