Leicester City is currently in discussions to secure a loan deal for Wilfried Zaha, the winger from Galatasaray. Zaha was absent from Galatasaray’s recent match against Hatayspor as he is in talks about making a comeback to the Premier League. Negotiations are still ongoing.

The Ivory Coast international, who joined Galatasaray in 2023 after leaving Crystal Palace, is keen on returning to the English top-flight as he has fallen out of favor at the Turkish club. If the deal goes through, the 31-year-old will be Leicester’s fifth signing this summer, joining Bobby De Cordova Reid, Michael Golding, Caleb Okoli, and Abdul Fatawu.

Zaha had a successful debut season with Galatasaray, scoring ten goals and providing five assists in 42 games, ultimately helping them secure the Turkish SuperLig title. Crystal Palace has also shown interest in re-signing Zaha and have engaged in discussions with Galatasaray. If Palace manages to bring Zaha back, it would be the third time he has returned to the club.

During his time at Crystal Palace, Zaha, a product of the club’s youth academy, scored 90 goals and provided 62 assists in 458 appearances. Crystal Palace is set to wrap up their pre-season with a match against Nantes before kicking off their Premier League campaign against Brentford on August 18.

Leicester, on the other hand, will face Lens in their final pre-season fixture before starting their Premier League season against Tottenham Hotspur on August 19. The potential addition of Zaha to Leicester’s squad could provide them with a significant boost for the upcoming season.
